In November of 2018 we were told that the doors of Dance Addiction a studio that was home to many of our classes would be closing. With very little time to relocate the hunt for somewhere new commenced. I loaded all 3 kids into the car and drove around to different places looking for somewhere anywhere to hold our classes.
I ended up in Junction 6, we had a little luck there the wonderful Cabe Academy Irish dancing school very kindly helped us out and we were able to put some of our classes there, then we also put some on the squash courts, although not ideal it was good enough for now. But you know that saying “when one door closes another one opens” well that is exactly what happened next. I asked the owner of Junction 6 if by any chance there was somewhere more permanent, we could use. He then showed me this huge space that was sitting with just tones of left-over building materials in it. Although it looked a mess, I could visualise what we could do and so the journey began.
In less than 2 months with the super hard-working team up in junction 6 we converted the space into the dream studio. It was never in the plan for the school, but I guess the best things sometimes are unplanned. I am bursting with excitement and pride. It really is more then I could have ever wished for. I am so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see the school grow and evolve with this new HQ studio. What is meant for you won’t pass you is something people say, and we brush it off, but in this case it was true.
Thank you to my family, the students and parents and the guys up at Junction 6 for all their support.
